Protect the site's buildings, grounds, assets, employees, and visitors against criminal activity and emergencies. Provide outstanding customer service and enforce security policies at a local pharmaceutical company in Grand Rapids.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service
- Observe and report activities and incidents
- Guard posts in building lobbies, reception areas, and control centers
- Conduct periodic foot patrols to check for irregularities and unsafe conditions
- Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas
- Ensure a safe and secure environment for all employees and visitors
- Enforce site policies and procedures
- Check for employee and vendor identifications
- Look for suspicious persons, packages, and activities
- Respond to incidents of fire, medical emergency, bomb threat, and other emergencies
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current, valid Concealed Pistol License
- Good moral character, with no felony convictions or specific misdemeanor convictions
- Pass a 5-panel drug screen
- Reliable vehicle
- Valid driver's license with no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years and no alcohol related infractions in past 5 years
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Ability to solve problems and de-escalate situations in a non-confrontational manner
- Ability to read and write the English language and interpret documents
- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Flexible schedule

- Physically and mentally sound
- Able to use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Entry level, prior law enforcement, military, or security experience preferred. 2 years of law enforcement experience preferred.
