Area Sales Manager

About This Role

The Area Sales Manager drives company objectives and sales targets by proactively building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors/wholesalers and customers in the local market. This role covers responsibilities across a single state or multiple states, ensuring consistent growth and high-level customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell all Delicato Family Wines brands to meet and exceed company sales quotas
• Identify sources of new business opportunities
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributor/wholesaler partners
• Oversee inventories and program execution with distributor/wholesaler partners
• Schedule and lead effective distributor/wholesaler meetings
• Develop and maintain key account and target lists
• Execute assigned programs as directed and introduce creative programs based on market needs
• Follow pricing policies to capitalize on market opportunities and deliver company profitability
• Ensure all business operations adhere to applicable legal and regulatory requirements
• Conduct wine tastings, fundraisers, trade shows, and other wine events with distributors/wholesalers

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in wine or adjacent industry or consumer packaged goods
• Valid driver's license
• Auto insurance
• Acceptable driving record
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications
• Ability to utilize syndicated data resources

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) or equivalent education and/or experience
• 1-3 years in wine or adjacent industry or consumer packaged goods, with preferred experience managing distributor/wholesaler relationships
