About This Role

This role involves providing comprehensive operational, fiscal, administrative, and program coordination supporting the Bureau of Maintenance of the Department of Transportation. The position requires an enthusiastic and driven individual with exceptional organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate budget activities, serving as the primary liaison for Human Resources, managing SharePoint, and facilitating procurement processes
  • Prepare detailed financial reports for division chiefs and bureau leadership
  • Track, analyze, and forecast the Capital Equipment Budget (CEB) and Operating Budget
  • Maintain and manage various tracking spreadsheets and databases for accurate financial oversight
  • Coordinate HR-related activities including monitoring Employee Performance Reviews (EPR) and overseeing position descriptions
  • Manage personnel actions such as onboarding new employees and handling separations
  • Provide vital administrative support by managing departmental databases and software applications
  • Oversee the Intern program, organize travel arrangements, coordinate events, and handle the management of publications

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work AND bachelor's degree OR equivalent combination of experience and training
  • Ability to perform essential job functions
