About This Role

This is an accounting and record-keeping position for La Crosse County's Long-Term Care Campuses. The role involves processing resident admissions and discharges, billing services to multiple pay sources, and various accounting and administrative duties.

Responsibilities

  • Process resident admissions and discharge
  • Bill services to multiple pay sources including Medicare and Medicaid
  • Manage accounts receivable
  • Receipt revenues
  • Prepare journal entries and spreadsheets
  • Handle resident funds and petty cash
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field
  • Experience in financial record-keeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash receipting
  • Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and MS Outlook
  • Pass a criminal background check as required by the Wisconsin Caregiver Law

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or closely related field

Nice to Have

  • Medicare and Medicaid billing experience
