The Account Manager is responsible for driving new business sales, managing territories, and achieving sales goals, while providing excellent customer service and technical product support within the oil and gas industry.
Responsibilities
- Create new business sales and manage territory development
- Conduct product demonstrations and hit sales goals
- Solicit new customers while maintaining existing relationships
- Provide technical product support to customers
- Produce product quotations and follow up through the sales cycle
- Gather and report market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and trends
- Identify new sources of business and achieve sales quotas
- Establish customer profit margins and cover assigned accounts
- Provide necessary reports to management and other departments
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of business to business sales experience in a similar industry
- Broad based knowledge of oil and gas product lines
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with good presentation skills
- Computer skills with MS Windows, Office, Outlook, and the Internet
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and a keen attention to details and accuracy
- Good mechanical aptitude and industry knowledge
- Ability to work under minimal or no supervision
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good MVR
Qualifications
- College degree, technical degree or experience
- Minimum 2 years of business to business sales experience in a similar industry
