Account Manager

About This Role

The Account Manager at TRAFFIX is responsible for building and maintaining customer relationships, representing the full range of TRAFFIX products and services, and managing the day-to-day operations of assigned accounts. This role focuses on business development, full-cycle order processing, customer service, and carrier recruitment/management within the logistics industry.

Responsibilities

• Support sales by meeting or exceeding established sales quotas
• Develop professional relationships with assigned TRAFFIX customers
• Provide status updates to customers and/or sales when requested
• Track shipment pickup, in-transit updates, and deliveries with Customer Service
• Manage in-transit delays to minimize customer impact
• Proactively identify potential problems and provide solutions
• Manage customer complaints and provide resolutions
• Perform all related filing and record-keeping
• Provide quotes on adhoc and contract business
• Collect all required paperwork from potential customers and follow up accordingly

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience as an Account Manager in a 3PL/4PL
• Strong experience in handling OTR, Drayage and expedited freight
• Ability to build strong professional relationships
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, carriers, drivers, and customers
• Strong knowledge of North American trucking regulations and geography
• Effective planning and organization with attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Team player who can also work with minimal supervision
• Capable of working in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
