This Account Manager role serves as the primary client contact, building long-term relationships to foster satisfaction and retention, growing the portfolio through ancillary sales, and ensuring quality service. This position is central to enhancing client relationships and contributing to branch growth within the landscaping industry.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue opportunities to sell ancillary services to existing clients and grow the book of business.
- Develop accurate estimates and takeoffs for new and existing clients.
- Ensure design and bid for proposed enhancement projects are delivered timely.
- Generate referrals from existing client base and communicate to the Business Developer.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
- Perform "site walkthroughs" with customers to ensure quality and service expectations are met.
- Lead and facilitate the resolution of client issues or concerns.
- Ensure renewals of each account within the assigned client portfolio.
- Communicate regularly with the Operations Manager to meet client needs.
- Support efforts for hiring, training and coaching field crews.
- Promote compliance of all safety regulations and policies.
- Ensure branch financial goals are met by maintaining acceptable gross margins.
- Assist the Branch Manager in overall leadership and participate in relevant meetings.
- Maintain satisfactory accounts receivable levels and CRM account notes.
- Coordinate with the Branch Administrator to update client information.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of prior customer service, management, and leadership experience in the landscaping industry or local marketplace
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to coach, develop and foster a teamwork environment
