This Academic Content Specialist role focuses on creating and managing educational content for online learning, ensuring quality and accessibility standards are met. The specialist will collaborate with stakeholders to enhance curriculum and provide innovative solutions to educational needs. Responsibilities
- Create and update course shells in the LMS according to universal design standards
- Consult on LMS capabilities and collaborate with stakeholders on course development
- Independently manage the curriculum feedback ticketing system
- Ensure course catalog compliance with clarity and formatting standards
- Review content for alignment with Quality Matters standards
Requirements
- HTML/coding experience
- Degree or certification in educational technology, instructional design, or a related field
- Experience in professional or academic editing/proofreading
- Strong communication skills with various stakeholders
- Ability to report on data and manage multiple projects independently
- Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Adobe Suite and/or Learning Management Systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
