Workers Compensation Claim Adjuster - Trainee

About This Role

This role involves investigating and handling Workers Compensation claims, verifying information accuracy, and communicating with clients regarding losses and benefits. The adjuster will also review medical reports and manage administrative duties.

Responsibilities

• Conduct compensability investigations for Workers Compensation claims
• Handle new losses and verify information accuracy
• Communicate with insureds, clients, and customers
• Complete claim investigations via phone and email with injured workers, medical providers, and employers
• Manage jurisdictional notices, benefit payments, medical appointment scheduling, and form completion/filing
• Review medical reports to determine claim compensability
• Collaborate with the Special Investigation Unit when necessary
• Strategize case resolution with attorney representation
• Handle administrative duties for the team

Requirements

• College graduate
• Strong customer orientation
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and organizational ability
• Strong PC experience
• Typing skills of 35-45 wpm

Qualifications

• College graduate
• Workers Compensation experience preferred
