Database Administrator

About This Role

We are seeking an experienced high-level Database Administrator with expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and cloud database platforms to plan, maintain, and support database environments across multiple platforms and cloud providers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases across all environments (Dev, Test, Prod)
• Provision, monitor, and manage database instances across OCI, AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Design and execute secure data migrations from on-premises to cloud environments
• Troubleshoot bottlenecks, tune SQL queries, indexes, and schemas for maximum efficiency
• Implement backup strategies, high-availability solutions, and conduct regular disaster recovery testing
• Enforce access controls and encryption to meet NIST, GDPR, and HIPAA standards
• Perform routine installations, upgrades, patching, and capacity planning to support future growth
• Develop scripts using Python, Shell, PL/SQL, or Ansible to automate monitoring and administrative tasks
• Build, review, and optimize database schemas to ensure data integrity and alignment with applications
• Maintain clear technical procedures and provide database health updates to stakeholders
