Join our team as a Welder, responsible for manual and robotic welding of various assemblies, ensuring quality and safety in a manufacturing environment. You will interpret blueprints, operate welding equipment, inspect welds, and contribute to team projects.
Responsibilities
- Follow all company and industry safety policies, including proper use of PPE
- Adhere to company, OSHA, and other applicable standards and regulations
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan welding operations
- Design, fabricate, and implement welding fixtures for accurate and efficient processes
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools
- Weld mild steel components using traditional MIG welding processes
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
- Repair or modify existing metal structures as required
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Mentor and train welders in proper techniques, safety, and equipment usage
Requirements
- Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment
- Strong ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints and schematics
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
- Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices
- Physical ability to perform welding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred
- Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment
