About This Role

Join our team as a Welder, responsible for manual and robotic welding of various assemblies, ensuring quality and safety in a manufacturing environment. You will interpret blueprints, operate welding equipment, inspect welds, and contribute to team projects.

Responsibilities

  • Follow all company and industry safety policies, including proper use of PPE
  • Adhere to company, OSHA, and other applicable standards and regulations
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan welding operations
  • Design, fabricate, and implement welding fixtures for accurate and efficient processes
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools
  • Weld mild steel components using traditional MIG welding processes
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
  • Repair or modify existing metal structures as required
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
  • Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Mentor and train welders in proper techniques, safety, and equipment usage

Requirements

  • Proficiency in various welding techniques and equipment
  • Strong ability to read and understand technical documents such as blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of welding safety procedures and practices
  • Physical ability to perform welding tasks including lifting heavy materials and standing for long periods
  • Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding from a recognized institution is preferred
  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or construction environment

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with automated or robotic welding systems
