Welder

About This Role

Fabricate and assemble steel components for modular and prefabricated building projects, interpreting technical drawings and ensuring quality welds. This role requires expertise in various welding techniques and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements
• Perform MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding on structural steel components
• Inspect welds for quality and compliance with company and industry standards
• Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure project deadlines are met
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols
• Assist in the installation and assembly of prefabricated structures as needed
• Document work performed and report any issues or defects to supervisors

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in structural welding or steel fabrication
• Proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and stick welding techniques
• Knowledge of safety standards and OSHA regulations
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints preferred
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various positions

Qualifications

• Technical certification in welding preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience in structural welding or steel fabrication

Nice to Have

• Technical certification in welding
• Experience with modular or prefabricated construction
• Forklift or crane operation experience
