Supervise and manage the efficient operations of a warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods, for a global healthcare leader. This role involves managing a team of six shipping and receiving staff and optimizing warehouse space and inventory records.
Responsibilities
- Execute highly complex or specialized work independently, applying knowledge from several years of experience or specialist training
- Manage the efficient use of the organization's storage and distribution facilities
- Receive incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against invoices and checking for damage
- Manage stock levels and movements, accurately sorting, labeling, and storing goods
- Process orders and shipments, picking, packing, and dispatching outgoing goods
- Ensure warehouse security and perform stocktakes
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records by entering data into a database or computerized system
- Retrieve stored information to respond to inquiries regarding inventory levels or delivery schedules
- Perform routine clerical activities such as answering telephones, updating stock cards, and completing various forms
- Operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery
- Manage a team of six shipping and receiving staff
Requirements
- High School Diploma / GED
- Minimum 1 year experience
