Warehouse Supervisor

About This Role

This position is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating activities within the Food Service Distribution Warehouse to ensure efficient operations and associate safety.

Responsibilities

• Advise Associates on safety protocols and ensure safe work practices, measured by incident/accident reduction
• Communicate effectively with Logistics, Scheduling, Purchasing, Sales, and Transportation departments
• Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures
• Assign workers to duties such as verifying quantities, putting away incoming merchandise, and pulling/loading outbound merchandise
• Advise associates on product care and preservation to reduce inventory loss
• Directly supervise 10-30 associates on warehouse protocol

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 3+ years of related experience
• Strong people skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Proven track record of processes documentation and improvement
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 3 years of related experience
