The Warehouse Receiving Operator is responsible for the accurate physical receiving of materials and products to maintain inventory control and ensure proper delivery to departments, working night shifts.
Responsibilities
- Schedule all inbound deliveries and ensure purchase order numbers are on all paperwork
- Receive product deliveries
- Maintain fuel/oil delivery records for the cheese plant
- Record and check quantity and quality of goods received
- Inspect, accept, or reject inbound shipments
- Communicate and coordinate with the appropriate buyer for product returns/repair
- Properly input received material into the computer system and forward documentation to accounts payable
- Deliver product to appropriate personnel and ensure all pathways are kept clear
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Basic math skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors in English
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with computerized inventory control system
- Experience with Microsoft Word
- Experience with Microsoft Excel
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
