Village Hotel Housekeeper - Flex

About This Role

Clean guest rooms and public areas to expected standards in an expedited manner while providing exceptional guest service within the Village Hotel. This role involves working in a team atmosphere with duties including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing, as well as amenity replenishment.

Responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms to expected standards in an expedited manner
• Offer exceptional guest service
• Upkeep and presentation of rooms and other assigned locations
• Dust, vacuum, polish furniture, and sanitize bathrooms
• Replenish amenities in guest rooms
• Perform deep cleaning projects and/or floor care as required
• Provide general assistance and support for the department and leadership
• Accept and complete daily assignments maintaining proper time management
• Properly store, replace, and place guest room amenities and linens
• Make up beds in guest rooms following standards
• Properly store and use cleaning chemicals maintaining safety measures
• Clean and sanitize guest bathrooms, mirrors, and windows using proper chemicals
• Empty trash and dispose of it properly
• Stock and clean housekeeping cart

• Solid communication skills
• Ability to operate/use small commercial cleaning equipment
• Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 75 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally (with assistance)
• Ability to kneel, stoop, bend, reach overhead and below
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time throughout the shift

Nice to Have

• Previous experience in housekeeping and/or custodial, janitorial, or related field
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping and/or rooms operations
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling and cleaning techniques
