Turf Specialist I

About This Role

This entry-level Turf Specialist position is responsible for grounds and turf maintenance, equipment operation, and appearance of the estate. You will work as part of a crew to establish, mow, maintain, and improve turf areas.

Responsibilities

• Mow and trim turf areas using push, riding mowers, and hand tools
• Perform basic grounds maintenance duties including cleanup, trash removal, weeding, sawing, hauling, and handling brush
• Grade soils to ensure proper drainage and turf growth
• Comply with all safety procedures related to duties
• Assist guests in a positive, courteous manner
• Work efficiently and productively
• Follow instructions, written or verbal
• Work efficiently without supervision after proper training

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
• Demonstrated commitment to providing world-class guest service
• Ability to exercise good judgment
• Ability to safely operate small equipment such as edgers, push and ride-on mowers, and associated motorized equipment
• Ability to become WPS certified within 10 days of hire
• Valid driver's license
• At least 19 years of age
