This Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions will play a key role in the evolution of the M&A group by driving origination, managing all stages of the M&A lifecycle, and contributing to value creation. This individual will work closely with the Chief Acquisition Officer and other leaders to ensure the ultimate success of the firm.
Responsibilities
- Source high-quality acquisition targets that meet CMH’s criteria
- Manage all stages of the M&A lifecycle including valuation, diligence, negotiations, closing, and early-stage integration
- Work directly with the CAO and M&A team on gathering industry intelligence, origination and outreach
- Maintain a professional demeanor while building long-standing relationships throughout the country
- Ensure accuracy of diligence, financial analyses and data books, working closely with the M&A Associate
- Create financial spreads using general ledgers and creatively solve complex problems with limited information
- Draft indications of interest and letters of intent, taking a leadership role in aggregating and summarizing diligence findings
- Assist CAO and counsel in drafting purchase agreements and ancillary documents
- Prepare high-quality presentations that communicate complex ideas precisely and professionally
- Conduct proactive research and create whitepapers/reports supporting the M&A strategy
Requirements
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or accounting
- 3+ years of M&A transaction experience
- Experience managing quality of earnings, reviewing financial audits, stratifying general ledgers, and building EBITDA
- Fundamental understanding of GAAP and three statement financial models
- Highly proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Real world experience with valuation methodologies (DCF, comparable company analyses, comparable transaction analyses)
- Excellent communication and skills
- Highly analytical, self-motivated, and detail oriented with ability to balance multiple projects effectively
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 5+ years of professional experience in investment banking, private equity, or accounting, including 3+ years of M&A transaction experience
Nice to Have
- MBA or Masters in Accounting
- CPA
- CFA
- Transaction advisory services (quality of earnings) experience
