About This Role

The Lifestyle Director orchestrates engaging events and programs across a community, fostering connections among residents and managing amenity operations. This role focuses on enhancing community living through strategic programming and partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, promote, and execute a comprehensive community event and programming calendar for residents.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Associate to develop content for community communications including websites, newsletters, and social media.
  • Produce, maintain, and adhere to an annual budget for activity income and expenses.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships with local organizations and businesses to benefit residents and the community.
  • Oversee the operation of the amenity center, including rentals.
  • Develop and implement general community policies and procedures.
  • Provide creation, coordination, and support for community clubs, groups, and committees.
  • Maintain a strong, professional, and symbiotic relationship with the Board of Directors.
  • Comfortably engage in public speaking and community engagement activities.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience
  • 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications
  • Ability to work full-time hours Monday - Friday, with additional hours on some nights, weekends and holidays for events
  • Pass pre-employment drug screen, driving record, and background check
  • Valid state driver’s license, clean motor vehicle report, and current automobile insurance at statutory limits if driving is a requirement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or higher, ideally in recreation, communications, journalism or community development.
  • 3-4 years of professional experience in event planning, recreation programming, public relations or other related experience and 2 years of professional experience with creating and managing communications.
