Vetco Relief Veterinarian

About This Role

This role offers total career flexibility as an independent veterinary contractor, making high-quality veterinary care accessible to pets. As a relief veterinarian, you will choose your shifts, set your rate, and focus on delivering patient care within Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care Hospitals.

Responsibilities

• Select individual shifts with no minimum or maximum requirement
• Determine your personal rate for each relief shift chosen
• Perform wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations and medications, heartworm testing, and microchip insertion at Vetco Vaccination Clinics
• Provide preventive care, diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures at Vetco Total Care Hospitals
• Partner with area medical director to review comfort level of cases for hospital shifts
• Focus on delivering the best care and patient experience

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
• Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions
• Ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
• Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
• Compliance with all local state and federal mandates

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Nice to Have

• DEA in good standing preferred for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts
