About This Role

Serve as an independent veterinary contractor, providing high-quality veterinary care in Vetco Vaccination Clinics or Vetco Total Care Hospitals with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Select and work shifts with no minimum or maximum requirements
  • Determine your own rate for each relief shift chosen
  • Practice veterinary activities outside of Vetco shifts without agency fees
  • Focus on delivering best care and patient experience
  • Perform wellness examinations, preventive vaccinations, and microchip insertion (Vaccination Clinics)
  • Conduct diagnostic workups, outpatient surgeries, and dental procedures (Total Care Hospitals)
  • Partner with area medical director to review cases (Total Care Hospitals)
  • Provide professional liability insurance and license defense policy
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal mandates

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license in good standing
  • Appropriate state-specific licensing to perform all shift functions including the ability to perform blood draws & administer vaccines
  • Ability to provide Professional Liability Insurance + license defense policy
  • Compliance with all local state and federal mandates

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine state license

Nice to Have

  • DEA in good standing (preferred for full-service Vetco Total Care hospital relief shifts)
