Vendor Managed Inventory Coordinator I

About This Role

As a Vendor-Managed Inventory (VMI) Coordinator I, you will manage, deliver, and distribute inventory at customer sites, ensuring accuracy and order fulfillment while driving company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Drive company commercial vehicles to transport and deliver goods safely and in compliance with DOT standards
• Ensure accuracy of shipments to the customer
• Assist with VMI customer space/placement and set up areas for receiving and stocking products
• Follow customer orders from pick-up to delivery and set up at customer site
• Take customer spot buy orders and relay information to CSR or Account Rep
• Scan barcodes at customer site to generate customer orders
• Perform VMI functions at vending point of use areas, including loading, receiving, and minor repairs
• Maintain awareness of min/max, reorder point/quantity and report observations to management
• Recommend changes to customer inventory levels based on usage
• Ensure barcode labels are up to date and legible for scanners and advise management when new labels are needed
• Assist in annual inventory (cycle) counts on consigned goods
• Present information and respond to questions from clients, customers, and managers
• Perform 5S for all VMI Point of Use areas

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 1 year experience or training in warehouse, inventory counting or delivery
• Valid driver's license that complies with Vallen's standards
• Willingness to learn and work on semi-routine assignments
• Self-starter with willingness to work with supervision
• Ability to understand and carry out instructions
• Proactive and positive team approach to problem resolution
• Ability to establish strong working relationships with customers, co-workers and management
