Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on safety equipment for Vallen's customers, with a focus on Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory services. This role contributes to ensuring customer safety by maintaining life safety equipment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct service calls to customer locations
- Identify equipment discrepancies and issues
- Prepare accurate and timely Technician Worksheets (TWS) and reports
- Provide customer service for Inspecting, Testing, Maintenance and Repairs of Life Safety Equipment, including Fire Extinguishers, Fire Hose, Gas Detection Monitors, Respiratory Equipment, Fall Protection Equipment and Safety Shower / Eyewash Units
- Ensure testing and repair documentation is accurately completed and submitted for invoicing
- Provide customers with all required copies of documentation upon servicing equipment
- Maintain basic knowledge of regulatory standards (State, OSHA, NFPA regulations and Guidelines, Vallen SOPs)
- Exhibit safe work practices at all times
- Assist in shipping and receiving, unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, matching purchase orders, and distributing to sales associates
- Maintain proper care of all company provided assets such as vehicles, inventory, safety equipment, laptops, and tools
Requirements
- High School or GED
- Minimum 1 Certification (manufacturer /state)
- Minimum 1-year related experience
- Mechanically inclined
- RELEVENT experience in the Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Repair of Safety Equipment
- Ability to repair and service equipment sold by Vallen North America
- Current Motor Vehicle License with good driving record
- Proficient with hand tools
- Ability to complete repairs and maintenance of equipment in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English (operational, process and quality instructions)
Qualifications
- High School or GED
- Minimum 1-year related experience, specifically in the Inspection, Testing, Maintenance and Repair of Safety Equipment
