About This Role

The Storeroom Attendant at Vallen USA is responsible for managing inventory at a customer's location, including receiving, stocking, issuing, and conducting cycle counts, while maintaining an organized work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Unload, receive, and put away incoming products, goods, tools, and equipment, checking for damage and discrepancies
  • Accurately sort, label, move, and store items on racks, shelves, or bins, optimizing crib space
  • Issue products, goods, tools, and equipment to site employees, documenting accurate records for issued and returned items
  • Enter data into a database or computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records and retrieve information for inquiries
  • Request requisitions to replenish inventory
  • Assist with inventory level maintenance, perform cycle counts, and prepare report results
  • Inspect and measure tools/equipment for defects, wear and tear, and report damage to supervisors
  • Prepare periodic inventory or maintain perpetual inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Deliver tools or equipment to associate work locations
  • Investigate and locate lost or misplaced equipment or safety supplies
  • May repair, service, and lubricate tools and equipment as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ months relevant experience and/or training
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency or demonstrated technical aptitude to learn
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units to measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be self-motivated
  • Attention to detail and safety-minded

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ months relevant experience and/or training

Nice to Have

  • Experience loading, unloading, picking, packing or moving goods in a warehouse environment
  • Forklift / cherry picker experience
  • Technical skills including MS-Office products, Vista, Control, SX.e, Prophet 21
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
