Perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations in a trauma hospital setting. This role involves assessing technical data, assisting in interpretation, and providing quality, patient-focused care.
Responsibilities
- Performs noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations
- Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures
- Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice
- Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed
- Positions the patient and completes the procedure
- Demonstrates commitment to safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of departmental policies, procedures, and resource documents
- Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards
- Follows RHS policies and procedures and reports variances
- Provides effective and efficient assessment, actions, and documentation
Requirements
- CPR/BLS Certification
- Vascular Sonography (ARRT) OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) OR Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)
Qualifications
- Program Graduate, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Sonography Program
- 1 year of Imaging Experience (Preferred)
Nice to Have
- 1 year Imaging Experience
