About This Role

Perform noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations in a trauma hospital setting. This role involves assessing technical data, assisting in interpretation, and providing quality, patient-focused care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs noninvasive vascular ultrasound examinations
  • Produces quality images following appropriate protocols and procedures
  • Provides and maintains clinical documentation per scope of practice
  • Educates patients/families regarding the procedure and/or treatment to be performed
  • Positions the patient and completes the procedure
  • Demonstrates commitment to safety and quality and prevents or reduces harms through knowledge and application of departmental policies, procedures, and resource documents
  • Understands and adheres to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards
  • Follows RHS policies and procedures and reports variances
  • Provides effective and efficient assessment, actions, and documentation

Requirements

  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • Vascular Sonography (ARRT) OR Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) OR Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)

Qualifications

  • Program Graduate, Associate, or Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Sonography Program
  • 1 year of Imaging Experience (Preferred)

Nice to Have

  • 1 year Imaging Experience

Certifications

Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) (Required) CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) (Required) Vascular Sonography - The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (Required) Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) (Required)
