About This Role

Perform high-quality neurovascular studies including Carotid Ultrasound, Transcranial Doppler (TCD), and emboli detection. Ensure accurate data collection and exceptional patient care within the Neurovascular Lab team at Penn Medicine.

Responsibilities

  • Perform neurovascular studies with strong technical competence
  • Explain procedures, verify patient information, and obtain accurate medical history
  • Identify and eliminate artifacts; calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
  • Provide initial interpretation and communicate urgent findings to Neurovascular/Stroke physicians
  • Assist with special studies, training technologists, fellows, and residents
  • Manage scheduling, maintain communication with inpatient units, and ensure billing accuracy
  • Maintain CEUs/credentials and participate in educational conferences
  • Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory standards

Requirements

  • HS Diploma/GED
  • Completion of accredited vascular program or 2+ years vascular lab experience
  • BCLS certification

Qualifications

  • HS Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years vascular lab experience OR completion of accredited vascular program

Nice to Have

  • Associate’s degree
  • RVT or RVS certification
