Perform high-quality neurovascular studies including Carotid Ultrasound, Transcranial Doppler (TCD), and emboli detection. Ensure accurate data collection and exceptional patient care within the Neurovascular Lab team at Penn Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Perform neurovascular studies with strong technical competence
- Explain procedures, verify patient information, and obtain accurate medical history
- Identify and eliminate artifacts; calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment
- Provide initial interpretation and communicate urgent findings to Neurovascular/Stroke physicians
- Assist with special studies, training technologists, fellows, and residents
- Manage scheduling, maintain communication with inpatient units, and ensure billing accuracy
- Maintain CEUs/credentials and participate in educational conferences
- Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and regulatory standards
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Completion of accredited vascular program or 2+ years vascular lab experience
- BCLS certification
Qualifications
- HS Diploma/GED required; Associate’s degree preferred
- 2+ years vascular lab experience OR completion of accredited vascular program
Nice to Have
- Associate’s degree
- RVT or RVS certification
