This Universal Banker position provides excellent customer service, opens deposit accounts, handles CSR transactions, sells bank products and services, originates consumer loans, and resolves customer issues in a branch setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver superior customer service with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help
- Develop and retain the customer base, greeting customers by name and resolving problems promptly
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer business
- Process complex multi-step transactions accurately
- Research and offer solutions to resolve customer issues, following up on resolutions
- Receive checks and cash for deposits, verifying amounts and examining endorsements
- Acquire and maintain consumer lending product knowledge to generate and execute loans and deposit products
- Consistently meet or exceed sales referral goals set by management
- Interpret documents such as safety rules, account documents, and procedure manuals
- Make sales calls via phone or Zoom to clients and/or prospects weekly and record them in Salesforce
- Ensure timely attendance and adherence to schedule for effective branch functionality
- Perform special projects as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1-year work related experience in customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office software (Notes, Word, and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Proven Team Player
- Daily reliable transportation
- Ability to consistently stand, bend, or squat to access branch equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. consistently
- Ability to travel for internal education, meetings, and to other branches as needed
- Ability to pass background and credit standards for NMLS credentials
