Universal Banker

About This Role

Deliver excellent customer experiences as a Universal Banker Trainee, helping current and potential customers with banking products and services. Build and deepen customer relationships through needs-based questioning and achieve personal and team sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Receive cash and checks for deposit, verifying amounts and reviewing for fraud
• Examine cash for counterfeit bills
• Cash checks for customers in accordance with bank policy and process transactions
• Provide accurate customer service and balance cash drawer
• Understand basic knowledge of deposit and lending products & services
• Identify correct product types through needs-based questioning to build customer relationships and refer business partners
• Assist with basic deposit account openings and maintenance requests
• Develop sales and product knowledge to achieve personal and team goals, tracking opportunities in customer information software
• Participate in outbound teleconsulting to expand client relationships
• Actively participate in weekly huddles and one-on-one coaching sessions
• Serve as relief and/or backup teller in other Midland States Bank locations
• Complete all assigned learning activities timely
• Participate in bank sponsored community activities and initiatives
• Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
