Universal Banker

About This Role

This role involves serving as a consultant to bank customers, identifying their financial needs, and cross-selling products to attract, expand, and retain customer relationships. The Universal Banker will contribute to the banking center's financial growth by performing duties as both a Teller and Personal Banker.

Responsibilities

• Conduct customer financial profiles and identify customer needs
• Cross-sell and up-sell banking products and services
• Attract, expand, and retain customer relationships to contribute to financial growth
• Serve as both a Teller and Personal Banker to support customer and team needs
• Proactively communicate with clients to educate, resolve issues, and maintain loyalty
• Maintain a working knowledge of banking products and promotions
• Open new accounts and service existing accounts
• Achieve defined sales and service goals
• Make recommendations to supervisors for branch budgetary needs and client experience improvements
• Work on the teller line, including operating the teller drawer and performing specialized functions
• Perform accurate transactions, balance daily, and verify cash totals
• Provide assistance and training to colleagues and serve as a mentor

Requirements

• 1+ years of customer service experience
• Highly motivated team-player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Intermediate PC proficiency
• Intermediate proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office products

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 1 or more years of customer service experience required. Cash handling or sales experience preferred.
