About This Role

This Universal Banker position serves customers in multiple areas of the bank, functioning independently and professionally. The role involves supporting various banking operations while adhering to established policies and procedures to minimize risk.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in opening new deposit accounts including Personal and Business checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, IRAs, and debit cards
• Recognize needs-based sales opportunities and make referrals for loans, Merchant Card, and Cash Management Services
• Accept all types of account maintenance including stop payments, address changes, research requests, ordering checks, and wire transfers
• Receive checks and cash for deposit to checking and savings accounts, verify deposit amounts, examine checks for endorsement and negotiability
• Examine cash for validity and process transactions
• Cash checks and process withdrawals from checking and savings accounts upon verification of signatures and account records
• Receive payments on loans and prepare appropriate entries
• Sell monetary instruments

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ year frontline banking experience or equivalent in sales, customer service, or financial services
