Universal Banker I

About This Role

As a Universal Banker I, you will focus on business development by identifying sales opportunities and deepening customer relationships within the community. You will also deliver exceptional customer service and ensure efficient banking operations, including both sales and teller functions.

Responsibilities

• Identify sales opportunities, deepen existing relationships, and grow Salem Five’s market share.
• Uncover needs and make referrals to cross-sell products and services.
• Engage in defined sales activities including needs analysis, offering solutions, closing, onboarding, and follow-up.
• Record all customer contact points in the Bank’s system of record.
• Participate in team meetings, contribute towards branch sales goals, and engage in divisional campaigns.
• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by making personal connections, uncovering financial needs, and providing solutions.
• Learn and apply all functionalities and benefits of products and services offered by the Bank.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Salem Five’s digital technology offerings, mobile smartphones, and desktop applications (MS Office).
• Adhere to all policies and procedures related to branch operations including check cashing, deposit taking, account opening, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain a full working knowledge of both traditional sales and teller functions and routinely perform both.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Desire to develop skills in the banking industry
• Qualities and attributes necessary to deliver a superior customer experience
• Federally registered through the National Mortgage Licensing System

Qualifications

• High school diploma, or equivalent
• Some experience in a retail environment preferred, but not required.
