Underwriter Development Program

About This Role

This program guides participants through an intensive 2.5-year professional development program, accelerating candidates toward a career as a Production Underwriter responsible for building and maintaining a book of business through Sales and Underwriting.

Responsibilities

• Participate in technical and sales workshops, on the job training, mentoring, and attendance at industry events
• Successfully create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business (heavily sales focused)
• Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through both traditional and creative marketing strategies
• Remain up to date with new insurance companies' offers and how to leverage them
• Prospect for new business markets and/or lines to write with sales techniques based in trust and relationship building
• Mentor and train new team members

Requirements

• Less than 3 years of professional experience
• Desire and ability to hit metrics throughout the training program within a sales environment
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Located in Roseville, CA
• Able to work in office
• Highly motivated
• Problem solver
