Join Amwins Program Underwriters' Professional Liability underwriting team as an Underwriter focusing exclusively on Lawyers' Professional Liability programs. This hybrid role in Edison, NJ, requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and maintaining high service standards while collaborating with brokers and carriers to build a profitable portfolio.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Professional Liability (E&O) insurance for small law firms
• Evaluate new business and renewals for pricing and coverage in accordance with established underwriting guidelines
• Solicit and cultivate new business opportunities
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with brokers to drive growth and profitability
• Maintain profitable renewal business through active relationship management and timely quotations
• Monitor underwriting results to ensure adherence to growth targets and target loss ratios
• Stay current on segment trends, including emerging exposures

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience as an underwriter or insurance broker in professional lines preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools
• Existing relationships with LPL brokers in this market segment
