Unauthorized Account and Check Claims Operations Executive

About This Role

Lead the overall operational performance for Unauthorized Account and Check Claims, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, improving efficiency, and managing technological resources and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve claimant-identified scenarios or unauthorized use of personal sensitive information to establish U.S. Bank accounts
• Oversee claims specialists in investigating reported events and determining if the claimant is a victim of ID Theft
• Investigate and resolve customer-identified scenarios involving fraudulent or improperly negotiated checks drawn off a DDA
• Manage recovery processes for outgoing breach of warranty
• Handle incoming breach of warranty claims submitted from other institutions
• Manage payouts via indemnity agreements to other banks (no-loss scenarios where funds are available/held)

Requirements

• Management/supervisory experience
• 10+ years of banking or other relevant experience
• Superior knowledge of Fair Credit Reporting Act (Reg-V)
• Superior knowledge of Truth and Lending Act (Reg-Z)
• Superior knowledge of Electronic Funds Transfer Regulation (Reg-E)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or relevant field
• 10 or more years of banking or other relevant experience with management/supervisory experience

• Expertise in Process Improvement methodologies, including Lean and Six Sigma
• Proven experience in building operational units and collaborating cross-functionally
• Strong focus on enhancing and maintaining superior customer experience standards
• MBA
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of assigned unit(s) and relation to broader industry
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
