Responsibilities

• Litigate cases before the Surrogate’s Court and Supreme Court
• Take and/or defend depositions
• Appear in court
• Draft pleadings, motions, and related submissions
• Draft discovery demands and responses
• Conduct legal research
• Prepare for trials

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
• Admission to the New York State bar
• 5-8 years experience including taking and/or defending depositions, appearing in court, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, legal research, and trial preparation

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• 5-8 years experience in trusts, estates, and fiduciary litigation and commercial litigation

Nice to Have

• Meaningful experience litigating cases before both the Surrogate’s Court and the Supreme Court
• Estate planning and administration knowledge
