Process Engineering Manager

About This Role

Lead and manage the Surface Mount Technology process in a circuit board plant, driving process improvements and ensuring operational efficiency for a global leader in aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage process improvement projects to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness
• Develop and implement manufacturing processes by studying product requirements
• Apply knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials to improve manufacturing efficiency
• Identify, propose, and implement capital expenditures (CapEx) projects to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that processes align with the overall company objectives
• Implement testing procedures and manage the documentation to ensure that all processes meet the company's quality standards
• Oversee facilities management, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and adhere to safety standards
• Use Lean Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements and increase efficiency
• Manage a small team of Facilities Techs to ensure operation is running safely and efficiently

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in engineering/manufacturing industry
• Expertise and ability to own Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process
• Strong knowledge of process improvement techniques and methodologies
• Demonstrated experience leading teams
• Facilities management experience
• CapEx experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering/manufacturing industry, preferably aerospace

Nice to Have

• Master’s degree or MBA
• Experience in aerospace industry
