This role involves implementing, developing, and continuously improving clinical applications within a prestige hospital system, acting as a key member of the Tech Services team. This position uses technical skills and healthcare knowledge to significantly impact the organization and patients.
Responsibilities
- Implement and develop assigned clinical applications, ensuring they meet the needs of healthcare providers and patients
- Actively participate in workflow design, build, implementation, evaluation, and end-user education
- Work closely with internal resources and vendors to upgrade applicable software or enhancements, including testing any new functionalities, enhancements, or upgrades
- Lead new projects as assigned, including delegating work and reviewing others' work products
- Analyze applications and make recommendations for improvement
- Troubleshoot problems and errors produced by applications and end-users, working closely with end-users and vendors to effectively correct the problems
- Support and troubleshoot interfaces for inbound/outbound data
- Determine operational objectives by analyzing functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements and formats
- Provide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, providing help desk support, and training users
- Maintain system protocols by writing and updating procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field (or 4 additional years of experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Health/Cerner (implementation, testing, support)
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent documentation skills
- Ability to troubleshoot interfaces for inbound/outbound data
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Oracle Health/Cerner, including implementation, testing, and ongoing support, or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree
