Travel School Psychologist

About This Role

Provide essential psychological services within a school setting in Bronx, NY, supporting students' academic, social, and emotional development through assessments and interventions. This role involves collaboration with educators and families to enhance student success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological evaluations and interpret assessment results to identify students' learning and behavioral needs
• Develop and implement individualized support plans in collaboration with educators, families, and other professionals
• Provide counseling and crisis intervention services to students
• Consult with teachers and staff to promote positive behavioral strategies and enhance classroom environments
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide programs
• Travel as needed to multiple school sites within the district

Requirements

• Valid certification or licensure as a school psychologist
• Experience working in school environments with diverse student populations
• Strong knowledge of assessment tools, intervention strategies, and applicable legal regulations
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
