School Registered Nurse

About This Role

This role involves supporting the healthcare needs of K-12 students in a school setting, primarily at an Early Childhood Center. The nurse will perform general school nurse duties, train staff, develop individualized health plans, and coordinate communication with medical providers and parents.

Responsibilities

• Perform general school nurse duties including assessment and care of student health issues
• Train school staff on health-related protocols and emergency procedures
• Develop individualized health plans for students requiring specialized care
• Coordinate communication and calls with medical providers and parents
• Provide consultation to parents and school staff regarding student health concerns
• Support ongoing health initiatives and collaborate with the educational team to promote wellness

Requirements

• Current and valid RN licensure

• Experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare
• Strong communication skills for collaboration with medical providers, families, and staff
• Ability to develop and implement health plans tailored to student needs
• Comfortable with occasional travel within the local area
