Travel Nephrology Registered Nurse

About This Role

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with a range of health issues in a hospital setting, from simple to complex cases. This role involves assessing patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with physicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and effective discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medication as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with family and patient to share care plan and inform of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff

Requirements

• 1 year of experience as an RN
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services
• Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
• Computer skills

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program, Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred
• 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
