About This Role

This role involves providing direct patient care under the supervision of licensed professional nurses, ensuring a safe patient environment, collecting vital patient information, and reporting changes to the nursing team.

Responsibilities

• Implement direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse, promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment
• Administer or assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), vital signs, intake & output, fall and pressure ulcer prevention measures, urinary catheter care, phlebotomy, or point of care testing as requested
• Collect clinical data and information on patients, and report changes in patient status to the nurse
• Assist nurse with patient and family education, and document all patient care activities provided with correct medical terminology
• Act as 1:1 patient safety sitter as necessary
• Ensure availability of supplies and equipment to meet each patient's needs
• Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality and regulatory compliance
• Participate in professional development

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• No Experience

Nice to Have

• Experience as a CNA, nurse assistant, EMT, or surgical technician
• Certified Nurse Assistant
