About This Role

This role involves managing transportation procurement activities for AWS Cloud Logistics, overseeing RFPs and sourcing events for global transportation services. You will ensure data integrity of the transportation rate card and collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve cost reduction and continuous innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Request for Proposals (RFPs) and sourcing events for global transportation services
  • Manage the data integrity and accuracy of the transportation rate card across a global network and multiple modes of transportation
  • Create a “learn by doing” environment by engaging with internal and external business partners to promote and encourage continued customer focus and cost reduction
  • Partner with team to oversee sourcing events and assist in launching RFPs
  • Develop analytical models / automation efforts while overseeing their continuous innovation and communication to operations and business partners
  • Benchmark rate information versus historic pricing and against competition
  • Recommend, develop, and implement policies and programs that guide the organization in accurately managing the rate card and vendor submissions
  • Identify, develop, manage, and execute analyses to uncover areas of opportunity and present written business recommendations
  • Analyze and solve business problems at their root

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Business, Procurement, Logistics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Supply Chain Analysis, Construction, or other related fields
  • Experience in transportation and supply chain
  • Fluent in Spanish or Mandarin

Qualifications

  • Experience in transportation and supply chain

  • Experience in supply chain program, project, or automation related product management
