This is an entry-level position as a Logistics Specialist within the Work Based Learning Program (WBLP) at AWS, focusing on managing data center inventory and supply chain logistics. The role involves coordinating with vendors, tracking inventory, and ensuring proper stock levels to support build and repair activities.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with suppliers and resolve inquiries from cross-functional teams
- Ensure all billing associated with the inventory supply chain is accurate and ready for processing
- Assemble and arrange for the shipment of merchandise and materials
- Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations
- Keep precise records of all commodities entering and exiting the company
- Travel within the regional work area using a personal vehicle
- Successfully complete the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum
- Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels
- Optimize parts flow through their lifecycle by tracking inventory location, movement, age, and returns
- Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Engineers to fulfill parts
Requirements
- High school or equivalent diploma
- 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations
Qualifications
- High school or equivalent diploma
- Entry-level position. Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications, knowledge of computer hardware components, operating systems and inventory management are preferred.
