About This Role

This role involves leading growth initiatives for transportation commercial lines, managing a team, and driving new business development while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve revenue targets and expand market reach. The manager will be a direct contributor to the overall efficiency and optimization of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage team leaders and/or client advisors, supporting their development and growth goals
  • Handle full cycle hiring decisions, coaching, performance management, promotions, and terminations in conjunction with Human Resources
  • Collaborate with the Director of Growth to implement comprehensive growth strategies specific to the Commercial Lines sector
  • Identify and prioritize growth opportunities in alignment with organizational objectives
  • Prospect, identify, and cultivate new client relationships within the industry
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape in the industry
  • Execute strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets and drive team leaders to support client advisors in meeting and exceeding goals
  • Work with division team members to prepare property and casualty insurance submissions for new business prospects and renewing accounts
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, operations, and human resources

Requirements

  • Active P&C license
  • In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques, performance catalysts and reward/recognition and incentive strategies
  • Experience supporting business development lifecycle
  • Can self-motivate and motivate others to achieve and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent business and people decision-making skills and problem-solving abilities
  • Can model positive energy and handle stress in the face of challenges, deadlines, and aggressive financial commitments
  • Deep understanding of markets, clients, and competitors
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the insurance and/or financial services industries
  • Excellent leadership and coaching ability; articulate and dynamic public presence

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent insurance experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the insurance and/or financial services industries
