About This Role

This role involves supporting the Power Delivery team by completing day-to-day project tasks for successful project delivery, with a focus on transmission line design using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.

Responsibilities

  • Complete day-to-day project tasks as required for successful project delivery
  • Prepare Specification Packages, Structural and Fabrication Drawings
  • Design and analyze Transmission Lines using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE
  • Design and analyze foundations
  • Analyze existing and proposed structures with regard to Client and other required codes, standards, and specifications
  • Perform Electrical Clearance checks and calculations
  • Coordinate and develop permits for Railroads, Roadways, and Environmental Crossings
  • Apply engineering principles to assist in the design of Power Delivery Projects
  • Implement effective engineering methods, provide technical guidance, and act as a resource for engineers and designers
  • Assist in quality control and quality assurance of active projects, providing peer reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college or university in engineering
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transmission line design
  • Comprehensive knowledge of transmission line design concepts and principles
  • Experience with PLS suite (PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE) and FAD Tools
  • Knowledge of electric utility transmission line engineering and design

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited college or university in engineering (Civil or Electrical preferred)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in transmission line design required
