About This Role

Manage civil engineering and permitting tasks, providing direction to engineering and drafting staff for various projects within the Power Business Unit. This role involves leading the development of calculations, drawings, and project deliverables while also handling proposal development and budget monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil engineering and permitting tasks
  • Delegate and provide direction to engineering/drafting staff
  • Lead and review the development of calculations, drawings, and associated project deliverables
  • Develop proposals and monitor budgets
  • Coordinate effectively with internal and external clients as well as various engineering discipline leads
  • Plan, design, and facilitate civil engineering project design tasks such as site grading and drainage design; access road design; erosion and sediment pollution control design; stormwater management design; report preparation; and permitting
  • Perform task management duties including technical work oversight, staff planning, budget/schedule management, scope change management, quality assurance/peer reviews, report writing, staff mentorship, and client coordination
  • Prepare proposals including scope and budget development and interdisciplinary coordination
  • Collaborate with other engineering leads to schedule resource and QA/QC peer reviews
  • Independently conduct field condition assessments
  • Perform bid and construction phase services including responding to bidder questions, contractor requests for information, and submittal reviews, site visits, and verifying change order documentation

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in civil engineering
  • Current, valid driver’s license

Qualifications

  • B.S. or M.S. Engineering
  • 5-10 years’ experience in relevant civil engineering field

Nice to Have

  • Professional Engineering (P.E.) License
  • P.E. license in multiple states
