Roadway Permitting Technician

About This Role

This role involves assisting with roadway permitting duties, including coordinating with clients and agencies, preparing permit applications, developing drawings, and monitoring budgets within the energy sector, focusing on oil and gas, electrical transmission, and renewable energy initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients and agencies for roadway permitting
• Prepare permit applications
• Develop drawings and create deliverables
• Monitor budgets from inception to completion
• Utilize Bluebeam Revu and AutoCAD to generate drawings and supplemental documents
• Utilize Excel to create and manage spreadsheets
• Lead and train staff to perform field visits to client sites (obtaining photos, physical measurements, viewing site conditions)
• Work independently on a project basis
• Attend project meetings and assist with meeting minutes
• Mentor junior staff by providing guidance and reviewing work products

Requirements

• Ability to wear and work in Personal Protection Equipment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently

Qualifications

• Associate degree (or higher) from accredited college or university preferred, or combination of experience, related coursework and/or education
• 0+ years of experience
