Transmission & Distribution Technical Specialist 1

About This Role

This role involves supporting the Transmission and Distribution Power Delivery team by completing day-to-day project tasks, applying engineering principles to design power delivery projects, and performing analysis and coordination duties. The specialist will contribute to successful project delivery by preparing specifications, drawings, and permits while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specification packages
• Prepare structural and fabrication drawings
• Design and analyze transmission and distribution lines using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, PLS-Tower, or other power delivery analysis software
• Design and analyze foundations
• Analyze existing and proposed structures with regard to client and other required codes, standards, and specifications
• Perform electrical clearance checks and calculations
• Coordinate and develop permits for railroads, roadways, and environmental crossings
• Apply engineering principles to assist in the design of Power Delivery Projects
• Perform complex tasks typically following established processes
• Collect data and gather information or documents
