As a Territory Manager, you will lead and mentor a team of sales associates, driving the core sales effort to meet corporate goals for Shoppa's Material Handling. This role focuses on developing sales strategies, managing P&L, and ensuring high performance and professional standards within the sales department.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, supervise, mentor, motivate, and evaluate Account Managers
- Develop annual core sales budget and manage the P&L of the Core Sales Department
- Design and implement strategies to ensure performance and sales goals are met
- Assist Account Managers in closing business when appropriate
- Determine pricing levels, develop and implement sales strategies, and select among approved suppliers for sales orders
- Schedule and lead regular sales strategy and performance meetings
- Represent the Sales Department and Company in a professional, ethical, and impressive manner
- Develop systematic methods for managing sales team member activities
- Collaborate with departmental leaders to ensure effective operational decisions regarding non-sales branch transactions
- Assume responsibility for the branch, including indirect supervision, evaluation, and mentoring of non-sales staff
- Act as liaison between non-sales staff and supervisors/managers, escalating issues and providing feedback
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by all team members at Branch locations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7-10 years successful sales experience
- 2-3 years successful outside sales management experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 7-10 years successful sales experience, plus 3-5 years relevant industry sales experience and 2-3 years successful outside sales management experience.
Nice to Have
- 3-5 years relevant industry sales experience
- Experience in General Management/managing cross-functional teams
