Temp - Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

About This Role

This position is responsible for assessing the needs of each patient before and during a surgical procedure, maintaining patient safety, and outlining individual care plans. The RN will implement, evaluate, and document patient care during surgical procedures, providing leadership to the OR team.

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of the surgical patient and develop a plan of care specific for that patient
• Implement and evaluate the plan of care during the procedure, making necessary adjustments to prioritize patient safety
• Supervise activity in the room, anticipate and coordinate schedule changes, assemble equipment and supplies, and assist anesthesia
• Monitor sterile field
• Communicate with patient, family, physician, OR team, supervisor/manager, and ancillary departments
• Participate in staff development by attending in-services, educational meetings, and other meetings/seminars

Requirements

• 2 years of RN OR experience
• Level 2 Trauma experience
• Proficient in Ortho, Vascular, Neuro, Gen/Gyn, and Urology

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of RN OR experience
